I appreciate when designs can be elevated when replicated. I think it takes such a particular design to look better when duplicated.
Merging old design techniques with new forms has more impact in the eyes of a viewer than people may think. I think that when a product has a dramatic contrast that also feels natural to its function there is an obvious harmony that proves the design to be a success.
I am a gatherer of information. When I look for inspiration to design I look at a variety of time periods, cultures, materials- you name it. I find a design to be most intriguing when there is harmony between two contrasting elements of design.
